For our referral network

Referring a client to Angelcare

When you have a client who can't or doesn't want to manage their affairs (and no one competent to hand them to), we take the fiduciary work, answer to the law, and keep you informed.

Who we're built for

The client we serve best

The person

An adult on the Front Range, usually older, who can't keep up with money and paperwork anymore. People living with dementia or Alzheimer's are our specialty.

The people around them

Often little or no family nearby, or family who are estranged or can't be the boots on the ground. When family is involved, they're on the client's side and not fighting for control.

The means

Enough to pay for ongoing professional help without draining the estate. Ideally a year or more of private funds before Medicaid, and if a facility is ahead, enough to cover its private-pay period.

How we serve them

Through a power of attorney while they can still sign, a protective conservatorship, or an estate to settle. Many clients start with a power of attorney and stay with us through every stage.

What matters most: the client, or someone on their side, wants the help.

Fit

Is your client a good fit?

A good fit

  • A family that wants a professional to handle the formal work
  • A protective conservatorship, where assets need protecting from someone taking advantage
  • An estate with no one to settle it, or no one who should have to
  • A client planning ahead who wants to name us now
  • A conservatorship that needs a successor, when a family member or another fiduciary is stepping down

Where we'll point you elsewhere

  • A contested case where family members are fighting over control, or one relative is using the case against another
  • Too little in private funds for ongoing fees, where public programs fit better
  • Taking over from a prior fiduciary whose accounting doesn't balance yet
  • Medical decisions, guardianship, home care, or Medicaid planning (we'll introduce you to people we trust)
How a referral works

From your call to the first filing

  1. Tell us about the client.

Call or email. A few key questions tell us quickly whether we're the right fit, and we'll tell you plainly. We'd rather decline than take on more than we can do well.

  2. We assess.

We meet the client and take a detailed inventory of their full legal, financial, and personal picture, and who's involved.

  3. We're appointed.

The client signs a power of attorney, or we petition the court as conservator. We set up the accounts and coordinate with the care team, including any advisor, attorney, or medical power of attorney already in place.

  4. We stay on it.

Visits, bills, court filings, and updates for the people who need them. When things change, whether a move, a decline, or a death, we coordinate and manage their legal, financial, and overall well-being needs.
